Institutional VP Closes $600 Million Fund XII

MENLO PARK, CA -- Venture capital firm Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) announced the close of its twelfth investment fund at $600 million, representing the largest fund in the firm's history.

The group says it will target three primary sectors: Communications and Wireless, Internet and Digital Media, and Enterprise IT companies.

IVP, which currently has six partners, intends to continue investing in rapidly-growing later stage technology companies based in the U.S.  The firm manages over $2.2 billion of committed capital.
